There are a few ways to disable comments on posts:
1.) Bulk Editing Comments:
Navigate to Settings >> Discussion >> uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles” (Although this can be overridden for individual post settings)
This applies to new posts that you will publish from now on. To disallow comments from already publish posts:
Posts >> select them all and “Edit” under bulk actions and hit apply >> choose “do not allow” next to comments and hit “Update” button.
2.) For Individual Posts:
By default, new blogs on WordPress.com will have the Discussion module hidden. You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options on the top right, and checking the box that says Discussion.
On the bottom of the page will appear, two checkboxes in which one is “Allow Comments”. Uncheck this to disable comments in that particular post.
3.) Remove past comments on all posts altogether.
Here, you have to edit some files from the Morphis theme folder. Locate “single.php” file and comment out these 2 lines of codes:
<?php //comments_template( '', true ); ?>
<?php //comments_template( '/comments-layout-2.php', true ); ?>
To comment them out, you’ll have to put two ‘slashes’ (//) in front.
