The Ei Slider, by default, places a dotted image overlay over a slide image. This is why the slide images aren’t clickable. So, to turn this off, there is a Disable Dot Overlay checkbox option located in “Add New/Edit Slide” page that should remove the overlay and make your links on the slide images clickable.
The thumbs are generated by uploading the slide image’s thumbnail version on the “Featured Image” box when “Adding/Editing” a Slide Item.
I am assuming that you are using the “boxed” layout version of theme. There is an option for this located in the “Morphis Theme Options” panel, and under “Skins, Styles and Fonts” tab, you’ll find the “Make Slider Boxed” checkbox option. There is a checkbox option in the “Add/Edit Slide” page Disable Dot Overlay which when checked, removes the dots overlaying the pictures.

Unfortunately, the theme’s slider functionality cannot be used using a Shortcode and can only be used and configurable in three (3) different parts of the theme: 1.) Home Page Slider 2.) Gallery Post Format 3.) Portfolio Slideshow

For example, Setting the right property’s value to 90% will make the slider caption/title to be aligned left.
